11-11 Reports: North Korea Behind Cyber Attacks?

The AP is now reporting what may be the first salvo in an orchestrated operation against South Korea and the United States.

Curiously the number 11-11, often associated with mysterious coincidences, appears in the AP report:

The sites of 11 South Korean organizations, including the presidential Blue House and the Defense Ministry, went down or had access problems since late Tuesday, according to the state-run Korea Information Security Agency. Agency spokeswoman Ahn Jeong-eun said 11 U.S. sites suffered similar problems. She said the agency is investigating the case with police and prosecutors.

North Korea Threatens to "Wipe US off the Map"

Tensions increase as North Korea threatens to wipe the US off the map.

Although the mainstream media continues to focus on the situation in Iran, we are focused on the threats coming from North Korea.

Government representatives continue to portray the threat as limited to a small chance for the North Korean long-range missiles to reach as far as Hawaii or Alaska.

The real threat is to Japan, which remains within range of the existing missiles, if North Korea is able to mate small but potent nuclear devices to their delivery systems.

With a nuclear gun presssed to Japan's leadership, one might expect demands made of the United States in a game of nuclear blackmail intended to disrupt political relations in the region.

It is worth mentioning that the two atomic bombs dropped by the United States on Japan to end World War II are considered "small" by today's standards. Two cities were effectively destroyed by those devices, which were delivered by airplane.

North Korea's leadership should keep in mind that the United States may have secretly developed ultra-advanced devices far beyond ordinary nuclear of thermonuclear weapons.

One possibility that has been of concern to anti-nuclear physicists: pure fusion nuclear weapons that deliver the localized firepower of atomic destruction without creating the radioactive fallout which would threaten nearby peaceful neighbors.

Should such devices exist, it would be possible to firestorm military targets threatening US interests and minimize any collateral damage to the region.

Breaking News ... Mainstream Media reports new threats from Osama bin Laden

Washington Post

CAIRO -- Osama bin Laden has threatened Americans in a new audio tape, saying President Barack Obama inflamed hatred toward the U.S. by ordering Pakistan to crack down on militants in Swat Valley and block Islamic law in the area.

STARstream Research is also aware of AMP sourced information (AMP refers to anomalous mental information, the US Intelligence Community term for psychic information) of a potential future threat to a major city. The AMP data from multiple sources in different nations identified a common target but no further information was provided, beyond something at or above the events of 9/11.

Other foreign-based AMP sources are focused on the development and testing of a nuclear device by Iran within the next year or two.

AMP sources often provide broad details of the raw nature of  future events but they typically are unable to provide any actionable details.

North Korea Tests Hiroshima Scale Atomic Bomb

North Korea moved one step closer to our prediction (mid 1990s) of an Asian missile crisis with the test detonation of a Hiroshima scale nuclear device.

Preliminary reports are that the device was between 10 and 20 kilotons, roughly equivalent to the bombs dropped by the United States on Japan that ended World War II.

Shortly after the nuclear test, North Korea defiantly fired a short range missile.

It would appear that North Korea intends to mate an improved nuclear device to a long-range missile, as we have previously suggested based in part on AMP-sourced information.

A future concern? The threat of nuclear blackmail against South Korea and Japan, even before North Korea achieves long-range intercontinental ballistic missile capability that could hit the United States.

AMP-sources  predict a nuclear-armed Japanese deterrent sometime in the future.

Nukes, Missiles, Threats in the News

We've been warning since the mid-1990s about the ever increasing threat of a major standoff between the superpowers over the developing threats of a nuclear armed Mideast, and a future Asian missile crisis.

Nuclear capable North Korea continues to work on extending their missile capability, one that already impacts Japanese security. Today the mainstream media is reacting to the new Iranian missile threat to parts of Europe and Israel.

The issue of immediate concern, however, appears to remain focused on nuclear armed Pakistan and the proliferation network of A. Q Khan.

In an interview with Fox News "On the Record," Henry Kissinger explained,"The real problem in Pakistan isn't so much the size of its forces, because they're pretty substantial already, but the question is whether there's political control over these weapons. And with Taliban forces 60 miles from the capital, one has to be concerned that these weapons might fall into jihadist hands."

The three pronged threat comes from nuclear arms, missile delivery systems, and with more nuclear weapons in production, an ever present danger of weapons of mass destruction falling into the wrongs hands.

Sources using anomalous mental phenomena have discussed the current situation since the mid-1970s. Some of the AMP-based material points to A.Q. Khan and the Pakistani WMDs as initiating a world-wide crisis.

The immediate short term threat comes from "loose nukes" in the hands of terrorists, or the eruption of a conflict between India and Pakistan. A major threat continues to develop as North Korea and Iran refine and extend the range of their delivery systems.

Threat Level Unmoved by Swine Flu

In spite of the media frenzy over the apparent threat of the new H1N1 "swine flu" virus, the SPACETIME THREAT LEVEL remains at STRONG.

A survey of various sources "fused" information based upon media reports, medical opinion, and anomalous mental phenomena (from multiple sources).

None of the sources indicated any serious threat concern due to the outbreak of the H1N1 virus AT THIS TIME.

Wall Street Journal: Cyber-spies penetrated power grid

Wall Street Journal is reporting that cyber-spies have penetrated the US power grid control system:

"The Chinese have attempted to map our infrastructure, such as the electrical grid," said a senior intelligence official. "So have the Russians."

The espionage appeared pervasive across the U.S. and doesn't target a particular company or region, said a former Department of Homeland Security official. "There are intrusions, and they are growing," the former official said, referring to electrical systems. "There were a lot last year."

Science fiction based scenarios for a power-grid based attack would include not only command and control, but the use of the grid as a wave guide for Tesla-based exotic phenomenology.

STARstream Research has not uncovered any information supporting these kind of exotic Tesla WMD, however there has been interest in the reported phenomena and legends going back several decades.

The WSJ noted that the hacking of the power grid could be used as a weapon during an  international confrontation:

Authorities investigating the intrusions have found software tools left behind that could be used to destroy infrastructure components, the senior intelligence official said. He added, "If we go to war with them, they will try to turn them on."

Officials said water, sewage and other infrastructure systems also were at risk.
